How did you get banned for a puny 60e when several high-end items and thousands of ectos have been transferred between me and a friend over the past month without either of us getting banned? That's just in the past month... no telling how many times we have transferred large sums of money, ectos, or items over the past few years without asking for anything in exchange.

If the tale we are hearing is true, I'm sorry... but it feels like we may be missing some parts of the story.

OP, you need to contact support and post the logs. Like HawkofStorms and Kattar stated, you're going to need to show evidence that you've been falsely banned for most guru posters to show sympathy or believe you.

Deviant, count your blessings. Anet has had several episodes where mass bans were handed out automatically (as in, they were automated) because they were too lazy to observe the behavior themselves (such as people transferring personal items between mutually owned accounts, or bot-like behavior that was more like OCD, etc)

There is something bad behind...Me and my GF got the same IP adress and sometimes we trade a large amount of e or cash..if i need fast ectos she give me the ectos immediatly, then i repay later and if she need something same..we move a lot of things btw anet never contact me for this, never warned me or other....so IMO the something more that he dont said.

I was banned for 3 days a couple of years back for moving 100k+40e between accounts.

It definitely happens.

Tbh I don't get the reason for this kind of threads (and the reason it's not closed yet)... Falsely banned = contact support and solve it with them - I heard it happening (never happened to me though) and both ban and tag being removed by support upon making them aware of the situation. Rightfully banned = nothing can be done by complaining here anyway.

If it was for real cash buying or selling then it would have been a perma ban - period. The fact it isnt (if Ive read right, a 60 hour ban?), then it was for something else - given that your name on here ends in 420, its not a stretch that it was something that was said that got reported.

On the anet making mistakes, yes they do, theyve perma banned my accounts for doing amatz when they did the rewards buff there together with the Sins buff. The fact I did it with H/H on a enter flag and wait basis made them consider me a bot, even though I was playing other accounts for 95% of the time my alts were farming amber.

The fact is, they make the decision without your input and then you are guilty and no amount of evidence offered otherwise will change their minds.

So you weren't even banned, you were just suspended for a little while?

You can talk to support if you want, but they aren't likely to do anything before your suspension is up.

If you're truly trying to call attention to a problem (which doesn't even seem to be that widespread although it happens), then this post is alright. If you're just complaining, then there's no real need for this thread. Keep that in mind when posting. I know you're mad, but this isn't the place to vent. The same applies for everyone.

Actually:

By accepting the terms of use in the Agreement, Members represent that you are an adult 18 years of age or older. Only one person may use an Account. The registered user of an Account may use the Account or may choose instead to permit a minor child of the registered user to use the Account. You are liable for all activities conducted through your Account, and parents or guardians are liable for all activities of their minor child conducted through the Account.

I am allowed to let my minor child use my account legally. He is highly controlled however, hell he cannot even log into any of my computers anymore. He lost that privilege by visiting some adult sites(he has alot to learn about history and tracking )

My brother grounded his 14 year old son of the computer for speaking disrespectfully on a thread. My nephew thought he was a troll king or something. Got his butt in a lot of trouble when my brother watched over his sholder at what he was typing.

Well this wasn't put here to complain.I contacted anet, everyone knows how that goes.Email email nothing in return. Two days later i finally get it to senior staff.I never bought gold, and i trade with that acc all the time. For some reason or another anet flagged it.So this has nothing to do with complaining, more of a warning to those that do account trades. And this is one of those times, where anet is wrong.Think what u must, but if u got and 60hour ban/suspension and u know u didn't buy gold online.Nothing left but to fight the powers of anet best of luck to all becareful on trades it could happen to you.

When trading just add like.. 1 dust or 1 feather so its not a large sum of money for nothing. Just a suggestion.

That's an even worse idea. Don't do that.

First of all, gold sellers are aware of that and sometimes do that too.

Plus, when you do that and a.net finds out, it ends up looking REALLY suspicious. Like you are trying to hide something and trick a.net. It's a lot less likely you are an innocent bystander if you are actively trying to evade the gold selling tracking system.

Suspended for 60 ecto? Maybe they are just flagging ecto now, but I've swapped cash and ecto between myself and guildies forever with no consequences. But still fight it because even if it won't help your suspension , it will keep marks off your account. Don't let the marks build up because if you make a legitimate screw up (like swearing in ra/ha) a simple suspension could escalate into a permanent ban.

I still find something fishy in this story. I know A-net can be careless and ban or suspend at the drop of a hat, but like many have said, they have transferred much more money than a few ecto to another account and gotten away scratch free.

You need to think of why Anet might be watching you. Gotten in trouble with them lately?

Either way, I agree with Yasmine. I don't much see the point in this thread anymore. You weren't banned, you were suspended. A couple day suspension isn't the end of the world, go play WoW for a while and forget about the horrible injustice inflicted upon you. Just be more careful in your trades next time.

If you need to move a lot of ecto over, do it over a series of days. Half one day, half a couple days later. Slower, yes. But it may keep you from getting flagged like this again.

that sucks.. if ANET ever banned me for no real reason, i will become another problem to GW.. yes, try to steal/hack into others' accounts and do what i shouldn't be doing.... To make it worse, I will even attempt to write my own programs specifically targetting GW...

okay this is so not true! i was faslely banned and it turned to be a error on their end that they admited! even gaile grey admited it. so please don't lump us all together okay?
